As the public relations manager for companies in a variety of industries, I’ve learned to target niche publications, develop comprehensive media kits and respond quickly to media inquiries. I nominate companies and products for awards, such as securing AFIA’s Feed Facility of the Year Award and No. 22 on InformationWeek’s 500 list. I write and pitch properly formatted press releases in AP Style with carefully crafted quotes and imagery with captions to make media placements as simple for the publication as possible. I engage journalists for earned media and track and report on campaign efforts to inform future media outreach.
